Special tools, workshop equipment. testers, measuring instruments and auxiliary items required
- VAG 1551/1552 Scan Tool using VAG 1551/3 adaptor cable

Test Conditions
- Fuses 15, 18 and 22 0K.
- Connect Scan Tool using VAG 1551/3 adaptor cable.







- Depending upon desired function:
Switch ON ignition
or
Start engine.
- Operate Scan Tool taking displayed information into account
- Press 1 button to select "Rapid data transfer" mode
- Press 3 button twice to select Address word 33: "CARB/OBD II"

Display will appear as shown

NOTE: Module 08 is indicated in the first display line. If you are in the Module that alternately appears with Module 1B (continue switching by pressing the -> button), a display will appear that does not correspond to the Readiness Status.

If a 1 appears in display field 4, the appropriate diagnostic has not been performed, do not try to perform a diagnostic. The Readiness Code must yet be created.
