Requirements
^ Ignition and all electrical consumers must be off before testing (headlights, lighting, fan).
^ Fuses S9, S13, S20, S1 78, S1 79 must be OK (remove fuses from fuse holder to check).

Removing Air Cleaner





- Remove connector -2- from air mass sensor.
- Release spring clip -1-on air duct hose with pliers VAG 1921 and pull hose off air cleaner cover -A-.
- Remove air cleaner bolts -3-, then lift air cleaner cover -4- to gain access to air cleaner.
- Remove air cleaner.





- Release control module connector (arrow -1) and pull off (arrow -2).





- Remove multi-pin connector from Control Module -J104- and connect test box VAG 1598/21 -1- to connector -2-.
Specified values are matched to VAG 1526 and are riot necessarily applicable for other test units.
