Front Door: Adjustments

Door, Adjusting

For proper door adjustment, door hinges must be loosened at pillar. Other measures, such as aligning the door upward, are not effective. Excess pressure thereafter will again cause the door to sag.

Upper door hinge --> 05.00
1. Door hinge
2. Threaded bolts
3. Nut (20 Nm + 90°)
4. Bolt (20 Nm + 90°)
5. Bolt (27 Nm)

Upper door hinge 06.00 -->
1. Door hinge
2. Threaded bolts
3. Nut (20 Nm + 90°)
4. Bolt (20 Nm + 90°)
5. Bolt (27 Nm)

Lower door hinge
1. Door hinge
2. Set screw (13 Nm)
3. Bolt (20 Nm + 90°)

NOTE: Always replace bolts - 4 - at upper hinge and - 3 - at lower hinge when loosened. Replace corresponding threaded pins - 2 - on upper door hinge when loosening nuts 3 -.

Adjusting door at striker plate

- Loosen bolts - 2 -.
- Move striker plate - 1 - until door shell is flush with contour body.
- Tighten bolts.

Tightening Torque: 20 Nm.

NOTE: Use this alignment only to align the inward or outward, not vertically. Door should not move up or down when closed or opened. If this occur, vertical alignment of the striker is incorrect.
