Position of selector elements





1. 2nd and 4th gear brake -B2-
2. Reverse gear clutch -K2-
3. 1st to 3rd gear clutch -K1-
4. 3rd and 4th gear clutch -K3-
5. Reverse gear brake -B1-
6. One-way clutch
7. Torque converter Lock-up clutch -LC-
Before starting transmission repairs, perform On-Board Diagnosis (OBD).

Selector element position
The following table shows which selector elements are operated in the individual gears to help you with diagnosis regarding poor acceleration and speed performance. The table makes it possible to determine which selector elements are inoperative.

All gears will be shifted hydraulically.

All forward gears are driven mechanically at a predetermined load and speed via the torque converter lock-up clutch.
