Input shaft bearing and multi-function switch, disassembly and assembly





1. Transmission housing
^ Removing and installing differential and shaft flanges. Refer to Differential.
^ Replacing speedometer vehicle speed sensor and drive gear. Refer to Speedometer Gear.
^ Breather installation position Fig. 1
2. Tory socket head bolt
^ 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.)
^ Self-locking
^ Always replace
3. Guide sleeve
4. Dished washer
^ Smaller diameter (convex side) faces guide sleeve
5. Circlip
^ Determining thickness. Refer to Input Shaft; Adjustments.
6. Ball bearing
^ Removing and installing.

After pressing in, the breather must project 21 mm (0.827 inch) out of housing.
