Convertible Top Strut: Service and Repair

Procedures






- Remove circlip -1- from hydraulic cylinder/gas-filled strut pin -2-. Take pin out and remove hydraulic cylinder/gas-filled strut from convertible top frame.

Note: As of 09.95 production only left side of convertible top has a gas-filled strut.






- Remove bolts with washers -1- from hydraulic cylinder/gas-filled strut retainer.
- Remove bolts with spring washers -2- from main bracket.
- Remove convertible top from vehicle (second mechanic required).
