Electrical/Electronic Components And Installation Locations
1. ABS hydraulic unit -N55-
^ Hydraulic unit consists of components:
^ Hydraulic pump -V64-
^ Valve block (contains in/outlet valves).
^ Multi-pin connector terminal assignment. Multi-Pin Connector With Terminal Assignment

Note:
^ Checked by On-Board Diagnostic
^ When changing hydraulic unit, always seal old part with plugs from repair kit P/N 1H0 698 311A
^ Do not separate hydraulic pump -V64- from valve block

2. ABS Control Module -J104-
^ Checked by On-board Diagnostic (OBD)
^ Located on hydraulic unit -N55-, left side of engine compartment.
^ Checking multi-pin connector to control module
^ Do not disconnect connector before successfully checking DTC memory. Switch ignition off, then disconnect connector.

3. ABS/EDL hydraulic unit -N55-
Hydraulic unit consists of components:
^ Hydraulic pump (V64)
^ Valve block (contains the in/outlet valves).
^ Multi-pin connector terminal assignment

Note:
^ Checked by On-Board Diagnostic
^ When changing hydraulic unit, always seal old part with plugs from repair kit P/N 1H0 698 311A
^ Hydraulic pump is checked by On Board Diagnostic
^ Do not separate hydraulic pump -V64- from valve block

4. ABS/EDL control module -J104-
^ Checked by On-Board Diagnostic (OBD)
^ Located on hydraulic unit -N55-, left side of engine compartment.
^ Checking multi-pin connector to control module
^ Do not disconnect connector before checking DTC memory. Switch ignition off then separate connector.

5. Brake light switch -F-
^ Open in rest position
^ Adjusting
^ Checked by Read Measured Value Block. Read Measured Value Block

6. Data Link Connector (DLC)
^ Installation position: Left side, just under instrument panel near hood release

7. Brake system warning light -K118-
^ Location: In instrument cluster.

8. ABS warning light -K47-
^ Location: In instrument cluster.

9. Right/left front ABS wheel speed sensor -G45/G47-
^ Check with On-Board Diagnostic (OBD)
^ Before inserting sensor clean inner surface of sensor mount and lubricate with G000650
^ Ensure speed sensor wire is not twisted in wheel house during installation
^ Bolt-10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)

10. Wheel hub with impulse rotor for right/left front speed sensors

11. Right/left rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor -G44-/-G46-
^ Check with On-Board Diagnostic
^ Before inserting Sensor clean inner surface of sensor mount and lubricate with G000650
^ Ensure speed sensor wire is not twisted in wheel house during installation
^ Bolt-10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)

12. Wheel hub with impulse rotor for right and left rear speed sensors
