Ribbed Belt, Removing and Installing

T10060 Mandrel

Work sequence:
- Remove right-hand insulation tray
- Mark direction of rotation on ribbed belt.






- Turn tensioning device in direction of arrow to relieve ribbed belt tension.






- Lock tensioning device with mandrel T1 0060.

Note:

- A second technician is necessary.

- Remove or install ribbed belt.

Note:

- Make sure all belt-driven accessories (Generator, A/C compressor, water pump) are securely mounted before installing belt.

- When installing the ribbed belt, ensure that it fits correctly in the pulley grooves.

- When completed with repair, always:

- Start engine and check belt running.
- Install sound dampening tray
