Read Measuring Value Block, Initiating

Special tools and equipment
VAG1551 Scan Tool (ST) or VAG1552 mobile scan tool with VAG1551/3 adapter cable

Requirements
- All electrical consumers (e.g. lights and rear window defroster) switched off
- Air conditioner switched off (if equipped)
- Automatic transmission selector lever in "P" or "N" position
- No malfunctions stored in DTC memory
- Coolant temperature at least 85 °C display group 004, display field 3

Test procedure
- Connect VAG1551 Scan Tool (ST).
- Press buttons -0- and -1- to insert "Engine Electronics" address word 01. When doing this engine must be running at idle (connecting scan tool and selecting engine electronics control module. [1][2][3]Connecting VAG 1551 Scan Tool

- Press buttons -0- and -8- to select "Read Measuring Value Block" function 08.

Input display group number XXX

- Select required display group number.


NOTE:
The display group number 0 is used as an example to illustrate the sequence.


- Press buttons -0-, -0- and -0- to input display group number 00 (000) and press -Q- button to confirm input.

To change to another display group proceed as follows:







- If specifications in all display fields are obtained, press -> button.
- If one of the specifications is not obtained. Evaluating Measured Value Blocks
