Shift Solenoid Position Sensor/Switch: Description and Operation

Transmission Kickdown Switch:

The Kick Down Switch is integrated in the accelerator Bowden cable and is actuated when the pedal is depressed past the full throttle point.

When switch is operated the gearshifts take place at a higher kickdown shift point and in addition downshifts are initiated.
