The function of intermittent wipers on vehicles with rain sensor is as follows:

With wiper switch in intermittent position -1-

- If no rain is sensed on windshield, intermittent wiper will wipe once then stop.

- The rain sensor, automatically shortens or lengthens the pause between wipes depending on how hard it is raining.

- The four position switch -A- adjusts the sensitivity of the rain sensor.

The rain sensor is located in the rear view mirror mounting base -arrow-.

Tip:

If, after the intermittent wiper function (with rain sensor operating) the ignition is switched OFF then ON again, the rain sensor function must be reactivated by switching the wipers to position -0- (OFF) then to the intermittent position -1-.
