Automatic Test Sequence
Automatic test sequence
During test and repair work malfunctions can be recognized from other control modules (e.g. plug disconnected). Therefore DTC memory of all control modules must be checked and
erased. Perform the following steps:
- Press button -0- twice to insert "Automatic Test Sequence" address word 00 and press -Q- button to confirm input.
The V.A.G1551 transmits all known address words one after the other. When a control module answers with its identification, the number of stored DTCs or "No DTC recognized" appears on the display. Any system malfunctions that are stored will be displayed one after the other and printed out. The V.A.G1551 will then transmit the next address word.
