Wiring Harness and Connector Repairs

Wiring harness and connector repairs to the vehicle electrical system must only be undertaken using Repair set VAS1978!

An instruction manual is included in the VAS1978 wiring harness repair set, which outlines all aspects of wiring harness and connector repair.

Observe the following remarks concerning repairs.

WARNING!
- Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap before starting work on electrical system!
- Wiring belonging to the airbag system and screened wires may not be repaired.
- The cause of the damage must be rectified before starting repairs, e.g. sharp edged body parts, defective electrical consumers, corrosion etc.
- Wiring repairs may only be undertaken using yellow wiring.
- Yellow wiring and locations with yellow insulating tape on wiring harness designate a previous repair!
- Perform a functional check after each repair and erase DTC memory or perform basic setting if necessary.
