Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder: Testing and Inspection

Lost key procedure
- Order replacement ignition key using lock number.
- Adapt all available ignition keys. Refer to "Ignition Keys, Adaptation ( Function 10)" under "Accessories and Optional Equipment/Antitheft and Alarm Systems/Testing and Inspection, (Vehicle Antitheft)", [1][2]Component Tests and General Diagnostics

Secret number, determining
If the 4-digit secret number is not known or the new vehicle key fob with the secret number is not available, the secret number must be requested from the corporate radio/immobilizer code retrieval system by supplying the 14-character immobilizer control module identification number.


NOTE: The new vehicle key fob with secret number is not supplied from 2000 model year Request secret number from corporate radio/immobilizer code retrieval system by supplying the 14-character immobilizer control module identification number.

- Read 14-character immobilizer identification number:
