Side Window (Convertible)



Side Window, Adjusting

- Side trim, loudspeaker removed and convertible top closed.

NOTE:
- It is essential to make sure that conciseness of joints/shut lines is guaranteed between door window and side window.
- If the side inclination (distance) is not correct this can be corrected via adjuster on carrier plate.






- Lower door window to approx. central position until the combi-nut is visible in the assembly opening -arrow-.
- Loosen combi-nut.






- Raise door window until the combi-nut is visible in the assembly opening -arrow-.
- Loosen combi-nuts.

NOTE: The side window can now be moved up and down as well as forward and back.

- Align side window -2- parallel with door window -1-. Dimension -A- = 9 mm.






- Press side window lightly into window guide -arrow B-.






- Tighten combi-nuts (20 Nm) through assembly opening -arrow-.

Adjusting side inclination (distance)

NOTE: The side window must be installed.

- Remove window slot inner seal.






- Remove bolts/screws -1-.






- Lower door window to approx. central position until the combi-nut is visible in the assembly opening -arrow-.

- Tighten combi-nut.
Then perform functional check.

Adjusting side inclination (distance)

NOTE: The side window must be installed.

- Remove window slot outer seal.






- Remove bolts/screws -1-.






- Loosen combi-nuts in assembly opening.

- Adjust side window distance and inclination at adjuster using an Allen key.
Then perform functional check.

- Tighten combi-nuts.
- Tighten retaining plate bolts/screws.
- Install window slot outer seal.
