Wheel Bearing Housing Bonded Rubber Mounting



Wheel bearing housing bonded rubber mounting, removing and installing
The bonded rubber mounting in the wheel bearing housing is comprised of two parts. Removing and installing the mounting is done in two work sequences.





Special tools required

Removing
Pressing out first bonded rubber mounting
- Bend bonded rubber mounting plate collar over slightly.





- Install separating device 3292 and tighten spindle.
The tool edges must be positioned exactly between the bonded rubber mounting collar and the wheel bearing housing.
- Insert pin 3293/1.





- Mount 3349 so that edges of tool slide exactly between bonded rubber mounting and wheel bearing housing.
- Turn spindle -2- until bonded rubber mounting lifts slightly off wheel bearing housing.
- Tighten bolts -1-.





- Install bridge 3292/2.
- Press one of bonded rubber mountings out by turning bolt -1-.

Pressing out second bonded rubber mounting





- Insert thrust piece 3349/1 and use spindle from 3292.
- Turn spindle to pull out second bonded rubber mounting.

Note: The edge of the tool must lie completely on the shoulder of the bonded rubber mounting when pulling out.

Installing bonded rubber mounting into wheel bearing housing
Installation of the bonded rubber mounting is completed in one sequence.





- Assemble both bonded rubber mountings together with tool 329213.
- Turn spindle to pull in bonded rubber mountings.
