Final Drive Cover O-Ring, Replacing

Final drive cover O-ring, replacing
Removing
- Remove right wheel.
- Remove right axle shaft protective plate.
- Remove axle shaft
- Remove front exhaust pipe. Refer to Exhaust System
- Remove right transmission support.





- Remove flanged shaft bolt (arrow) (use pin to prevent flange turning).
- Place drain pan under transmission.
- Remove right flanged shaft.
- Remove final drive cover bolts and remove cover.





- Replace O-ring (arrow).

Installing
Install in reverse sequence.





- Install final drive cover.
Tightening sequence:
^ Stage 1: tighten bolts -1-, -2- and -3- hand-tight.
^ Stage 2: tighten bolts -1- to -12- to specified torques in the sequence indicated.
- Install right flanged shaft.
- Check final drive oil level (transmission installed). Differential Fluid - A/T
