With Manufacturer Scan Tool

Connect Scan Tool VAG 1551 and enter address word "02 transmission electronics" and advance until "Select function XX" appears in the display See "How to Use VW Scan Tool VAG 1551, Connecting Scan Tool VAG 1551 and Selecting Functions".

- Press buttons -0- and -2- to select "Read DTC memory" function 02.

- Confirm entry with -Q- button.

The number of stored malfunction or "No DTC recognized" appears in the display.

X DTCs recognized!

The stored malfunctions are displayed in turn and printed out.

- Press -> button.
- After the last malfunction has been displayed and printed out, the malfunctions must be corrected as described in the DTC table. See "Diagnostic Charts".
- Press -> button.

- Erase DTC memory.
