Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) (function 03)

The actuator motors for automatic vertical headlight aim control can be checked via Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM).

Initiating output DTM

NOTE:
- If engine is started or vehicle is moved, Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) of the automatic vertical headlight aim control system cannot be initiated and will be terminated if in progress.
- Test sequence can always be exited via the -C- button
- Connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST), select operating mode 1 "Rapid data transfer", switch ignition on and enter address word 55 for "automatic vertical headlight aim control system".

- Press buttons -0- and -3-. This selects "Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM)", function 3.

Headlights are lowered


The headlights will be lowered, until the lower end position has been reached.
- Press -> button.

Headlights are raised


The headlights will be raised, until the upper end position has been reached.
