Cable For Locking Backrest (Front Seat) (2-Door)

Removing
- Remove front seat.
- Remove front seat backrest.
- Pry off grip -3- and unclip cover -1-.

NOTE:
- On 2-door vehicles the backrest is secured to the seat base with 2 bolts (24 Nm or 18 ft lb).
- Always replace clips -2- and locking sleeve -12-.

- Remove cover and padding.
- Break-off the four small tabs of the locking sleeve -12- and drive the remainder of the locking tab -12- into transfer rod using punch -11-.
- Press locking lever -5- down and pull out cable hook -6-.
- Unclip cable center guide -8- from backrest frame -4-.
- Pull transfer rod -11- out from backrest frame sufficiently to allow lower cable guide -10- to be unhooked.
- Unhook cable hook -9- and pull cable -7- out from backrest frame.

Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
