The U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 225 requires that built-in lower anchorages (when equipped) be visible or identified with a seat marking feature on vehicles when such vehicle is delivered or displayed to a customer.

Vehicles manufactured starting in January 2001, after the above VIN breaks, are equipped with buttons (at arrows) to identify the lower anchorage points.

Lower anchorages are located between the rear seat back and rear seat bottom.

Service

LATCH Guidance Fixtures announced in Technical Bulletins Group 00 Number 00-06 and 00-07) are no longer required nor supplied on vehicles equipped with buttons.

When requested by the customer, LATCH Guidance fixtures Part No: 8L0 019 233 (qty. 2 per package) can be installed (using procedures outlined in Technical Bulletins Group 00 Number 00-06 and 00-07).
