Center Console, Removing and Installing --> 01.01

CAUTION: Before working on electrical system: Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.

NOTE: Slight changes may have to be made to removal and installation procedures, depending upon equipment installed in vehicle.

Removing
- Switch ignition off.
- Remove center armrest
- Remove ashtray - 7 -, front beverage holders - 8 - (2x) and rear beverage holder - 14 -.










- Lift up parking brake lever, release trim using a screwdriver and pull off from parking brake lever toward front - arrow -.







- Disengage boot - 1 - of selector lever at center console and push upward.
- Only if necessary for the continuing work sequence, remove clamp - 2 - and remove shift knob with boot.

NOTE: Installing clamp.







- Remove bolts - 9 - (2x), - 2 - and - 15 -.







- Remove cover - 10 - and disconnect harness connector of cigarette lighter - 13 -.
- Remove bolts - 12 - (4x) and remove insert - 11 -.
- Unclip cover caps - 4 - (2x) and remove bolts - 3 - (2x).
- Remove bolts - 5 - (2x) and - 16 - (2x).
- Lift center console - 1 - at rear, pull backward and remove upward over shift lever.

Installing
- Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: After reconnecting battery, make sure vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric windows) is checked as per Workshop manual and/or Owners manual.
