Ribbed belt, removing and installing
Special tools and equipment





^ Retaining pin T10060
^ Wrench 16 mm AF (not shown)

Work sequence
- Remove right-hand insulation tray.
Mark direction of rotation on ribbed belt.





- Turn tensioning device in direction of arrow to relieve ribbed belt tension.





- Lock tensioning device with Retaining pin T10060.

Note: A second technician is necessary.

- Remove or install ribbed belt.

Note:
^ Make sure all belt-driven accessories (generator, A/C compressor, water pump) are securely mounted before installing belt.
^ When installing the ribbed belt, ensure that it fits correctly in the pulley grooves.

When done, always:
- Start engine and check belt running.
- Install sound dampening tray.
