Lock Cylinder Housing, Removing And Installing

Removing







- Pry out cover cap - 1 - for bolt - 2 -.







- Loosen bolt - 1 - using Socket Insert T10011 and, while doing so, press bolt - 1 - against mounting bracket - 3 - in door (this in turn slides locking mechanism - 4 - for lock cylinder housing in mounting bracket - arrow -).
- Pull lock cylinder housing - 2 - out of door handle mounting bracket.

NOTE: Lock cylinder housing is released before bolt - 1 - is removed completely from locking mechanism - 4 -.

Installing







- Install lock cylinder housing - 2 - at right angle to door in door handle mounting bracket.
- Tighten bolt - 1 - using socket insert T10011 (this moves locking mechanism - 4 - for lock cylinder housing in mounting bracket - 3 - - arrow - ).

NOTE:
- Moving locking mechanism - 4 - simultaneously releases pre-tensioned and blocked spring arm - 5 - for handle (can be heard).
- Then a function test must be performed with door opened, since the door cannot be opened if adjustment and clips of hood release cable are not correct.
