Rear Lid, Adjusting
NOTE:
- Rear lid is properly adjusted when there is an overall even gap dimension when closed, it is not too far inward or outward and contours align.
- Vehicle must stand on its wheels in order to be able to perform the adjustment.
- In order to perform the proper adjustment of the rear lid, it is necessary to be careful of three points: even the rear lid (roof with lid), adjust bolt located in the lid hinge; and adjust the rubber buffers on both sides of lid.
- Gap dimension Body panel gaps; Body, rear
- After installation or adjustment work, corrosion protection measure must be performed on hinge and bolts.
Rear lid hinge, adjusting
- With hinge closed, adjustment bolt - 1 - must make contact to top - 2 - without pressure.
- Unthread adjustment bolt - 1 - 1.5 to 3 mm (this adjusts hinge pre-tension).
Rear lid stop, adjusting
- Rear lid hinge, end plate and rear lid lock are adjusted.
- Install rubber buffers on both sides of rear lid.
- Install adjustment buffer - 1 - in sealing channel so that adjustment buffer can still just be turned by hand.
- Slide adjustment buffer - 1 - to uppermost position - arrow -.
- Close rear lid completely and open again.
- Slide adjustment buffer - 1 - in sealing channel on both sides upward (dimension - a - 1 to 2 mm) and tighten bolt - 2 -. Tightening torque: 10 Nm
- Rear lid must be able to be closed without much force and must not have no play up and down when locked. Rear lid is slightly lifted by pre-tension when lock is released.
