Plenum Chamber Cover, Removing And Installing

Removing
- Pull water deflector off retaining strip on A pillar.
- Unscrew wiper arms (M8 hexagon nuts = 20 Nm ).







NOTE: The plenum chamber cover must not be levered off with a tool (wedge). Otherwise the windshield will become damaged and could later crack.







- Lift plenum chamber cover -1- on the edge of windshield.







- Starting at the corner pull plenum chamber cover -1- out at right angles from the mounting slots in the lower edge of the windshield.

Installing







NOTE: Striking the plenum chamber cover can cause cracks in the windshield.







- To ease the fitting of the plenum chamber cover in the mounting slots -1-, the area should be sprayed with a soapy solution.







- Press plenum chamber cover -1- in mounting slots, starting from center in direction of arrow.
