Misfire, Incorrect Cylinder Identified By ECM Software

Fault codes P0300 along with P0301, P0302, P0303, or P0304 are stored in DTC memory.

Service
For Low Emission Vehicles (LEV) with 2.0L (engine code AZG), the Electronic Control Module (ECM) listed, see Required Parts and Tools, reports the wrong cylinder when a misfire is recorded.

For Low Emission Vehicles (ULEV) with 2.0L (engine code AVH), the ECM listed, see Required Parts and Tools, reports the wrong cylinder when a misfire is recorded.
- Do not automatically replace the ECM for this condition (see below).

When repairing a vehicle with the listed DTCs and ECMs as listed in the tables, see Required Parts and Tools.





- Use the table to correctly identify the misfiring cylinder.

Once the correct misfiring cylinder is identified:
- Diagnose and repair as necessary.
