Secondary air pump motor, checking

Requirements
- Fuse for secondary air pump in battery main fuse holder must be OK.
- Secondary air pump vacuum lines not blocked or kinked

Work sequence
- Remove engine cover.
- Remove pressure hose in secondary air pump motor.
- Activate secondary air pump relay via final control diagnosis. Testing and Inspection

The secondary pump motor must run at intervals and air must exit at outlet union.
- Motor runs but no air is pumped out:
- Replace secondary air pump motor.
- If secondary air pump motor does not run at intervals:
- Check activation of secondary air pump motor. Testing and Inspection
