Fig. 1 Transmission control module -arrow- located in plenum chamber middle/right.
Removing control module
- Switch ignition off, open hood.
- Remove wiper arms and cowl panel:

- Release multi-pin connector and pull connector off control module.

- Remove screws -arrows-.
- Remove control module.

Installing control module
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

Location: The DLC -arrow- is located behind the cover above the ashtray.

Fig. 4 Throttle position (TP) sensor-G69
Locations:
On vehicles with a gasoline engine the sensor is a component part of the throttle valve control module -J338-. It can be found on the throttle valve housing (engine).
On a vehicles with a Diesel engine the "Throttle valve signal" is generated in the Throttle position (TP) sensor -G79-. The sensor can be found near the accelerator pedal.
On vehicles with data bus, the signal comes from the bus. On these vehicles, the data bus interface is checked in addition.

Location: The selector lever position display is located in the instrument cluster.
Removing and installing TR selector lever display.

Fig. 6 Cruise control switch -E45
Location: Cruise control switch is located on steering column switch.
Removing and installing cruise control switch

Fig. 7 Kickdown switch -F8-
Locations:
The kickdown switch (arrow) is integrated into accelerator cable and is located on bulkhead in engine compartment.
On vehicles which do not have an accelerator cable the kickdown signal is generated in the Throttle position (TP) sensor -G79-. The sensor can be found close to the accelerator pedal.
On vehicles with data bus, the signal comes from the bus. On these vehicles, the data bus interface is checked in addition.

Removing and installing kickdown switch
On a gasoline engine the accelerator cable must be removed to be able to remove and install the kickdown switch. The cable must be readjusted.
