Torque & Tightening Sequence

Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Sequence:

Cylinder Head
Pretighten all bolts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
Tighten all bolts 1/4 turn (90°) further using a rigid wrench.
Tighten all bolts 1/4 turn (90°) further.

Camshaft drive belt sprocket (crankshaft) 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.) plus
additional 1/4 turn (90°) Always replace
Camshaft Bearing Caps bolts 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)

Maximum permissible distortion 0.1 mm
Cylinder head sealing surface dimension a = 132. 6 mm minimum
