Assembly Carrier, Removing and Installing (Convertible)

The door lock and the loudspeaker are secured to the assembly carrier.
The door lock can only be removed in conjunction with the subframe.

Removing
- Remove front door trim Service and Repair
- Remove lock cylinder housing. Service and Repair






- Unclip clip -1- from door handle.






- Remove bolts -1- tightening torque: 20 Nm






- Unclip wiring harness and disconnect connectors -arrows-.
- Remove bolts/screws -1-, -3- and nut -2-. Pull top of mounting plate off door, lift and take out of door towards hinges.






- Turn mounting plate and pull connector off door lock.
- Pull wiring harness through assembly carrier.
- Then unclip clips for electrical cables on back of mounting plate.

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence of removal.
