Clutch system, bleeding

Special tools and workshop equipment required






- VAS 5234 Brake filling and bleeder unit
- Brake fluid specifications.

Note: Open bleeder valve before operating bleeder unit.

- Clutch pedal is not operated.
- Connect brake filling and bleeder unit VAS 5234.
- Remove insulation tray below engine/transmission, if installed.






- Connect bleed hose -A- to slave cylinder (-arrow-) and open bleed valve.
- Now switch on bleeder unit and let about 100 cm3 brake fluid run out.

Brake fluid must not be allowed to get onto the transmission.

- Depress clutch pedal several times after completion of bleeding process.
