Special tools, workshop equipment, testers, measuring instruments and auxiliary items required
^ VAG 1941 Camber adjustment device
Only by moving the subframe it is possible to change the camber slightly.
- Remove noise insulation tray.
- Unscrew hex bolts -3- and -4-.
- Insert camber adjustment device -VAG 1941-.
Tightening torque of hex bolts -1- 10 Nm.
- Loosen hex bolts -1-, -2-, -5-, -6-, -7 and -8-.
- Turn bolt -2- until the specifications are achieved.
Refer to Alignment; Specifications.
- Relieve tension on bolt -2- and check the readings obtained, if necessary correct camber again.
- Screw in new hex bolts -7- and -8-.
- Remove camber adjustment device -VAG 1941-.
- Screw in new front hex bolts -5- and -6- and tighten
- Tighten new hex bolts -1-, -2-, -3- and -4-.
Important: The toe must be checked after each camber adjustment.
