2FN brake caliper, servicing
Note:
^ Only use appropriate solvents for cleaning brake parts.
^ Install all parts supplied in repair kit.
^ New brake calipers are filled with brake fluid and are pre-bled.
^ Apply a thin coat of installing paste G 052 150 A2 to brake cylinders, pistons and seals.
1 - Brake carrier
^ Install on brake caliper housing
2 - Ribbed combi bolt, 190 Nm
^ Clean if reusing
3 - Guide pin, 25 Nm
4 - Cap
^ Insert in mounting bush
5 - Mounting bushing
^ Insert into brake caliper housing
6 - Brake caliper housing
7 - Bleed valve
^ Apply thin coat of assembly paste G 052 150 A2 to threads before screwing in
8 - Protective cap
^ Push onto bleed valve
9 - Retaining spring
^ Insert with both ends in the brake caliper housing holes and then press under the brake carrier
10 - Protective seal
^ Removing and installing, Refer to Front Caliper Piston, Removing and Installing
^ Do not damage when installing piston
11 - Piston
^ Removing and installing, Refer to Front Caliper Piston, Removing and Installing
^ Apply a thin coat of paste G 052 150 A2 to piston before installing
12 - Seal
^ Removing and installing, Refer to Front Caliper Piston, Removing and Installing
