Connecting VAG 1551 Scan Tool

On Board Diagnostic (OBD), Connecting And Selecting Function


Test requirements
- All fuses OK according to wiring diagram
- Voltage supply OK (at least 9.0 V)

Connect the Scan Tool as follows:







- Remove cover for Data Link Connector (DLC) on right next to parking brake lever.
- Connect test leas VAG 1551/3B to DLC.

Indicated on display:

* Is displayed alternately


NOTE:
- If nothing is shown on the display, check the voltage supply for the VAG 1551 according to the wiring diagram.
- Additional operating information can be read using the HELP button on the Scan Tool.
- The -> button is used to switch the program to the next function.
- In the operating mode 1 "rapid data transfer", the function 00 "automatic test sequence" can be carried out. In this process, all control modules of the vehicle can be read automatically.


- Switch ignition on.
- Switch printer on with PRINT button (indicator light in button lights up).
- Press button -1- to select "Rapid data transfer" operating mode.
