Cover And Cushion For Front Backrest, Removing And Installing (From 05/2003)

NOTE:
- Removal and installation is described for left side of vehicle. The same instructions apply for removal and installation for the right-hand side.
- Slight changes may have to be made to removal and installation procedures, depending upon equipment installed in vehicle.

Removing
- Remove seat.
- Remove headrest.
- Remove backrest.







- Separate beading strip - 1 - for cover - 2 - using a screwdriver - arrows -.












- Unhook tension wire - 1 - - arrows -.







- Pry off operating mechanism - 1 - of backrest release and securing clip - 2 -, unclip upper trim - 3 - and remove upward.
- Pry off lumbar support adjusting wheel - 4 -.

NOTE: Always replace securing clip - 2 -.







- Remove headrest guide.







- Remove piping - arrow - from left and right backrest frame.







- Cut through upholstery clips - arrows -.







- Remove piping - 1 - from retaining clips - 2 -.
- Disengage tension wire.
- Remove backrest cover upward.

Installing
- Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
