^ VW 387 Universal dial gauge bracket

Test sequence





^ Insert a new valve into guide. End of valve stem must be flush with guide.

Note: Due to the slight difference in stem diameters, ensure that only an intake valve is used in the intake guide and an exhaust valve in the exhaust guide.

^ Determine rock.
Wear limit:
Inlet valve guide = 1.0 mm
Exhaust valve guide = 1.3 mm
