Toe constant "S", adjusting





- Loosen nut -A-.
- Unscrew bolt -B- approximately 4 mm.
- Push toe rod joint downward onto stop.
- Screw in adjustment bolt -B- until the exact specification is achieved.
- Tighten hex nut -A-, Refer to Front Suspension, Service and Repair, Front Suspension, Servicing, See item 7 and check value.
- Always use new hex nuts!





- If the toe adjustment range for the toe curve is not sufficient, the wire ring -arrow- can be removed.
- For further information, Refer to Steering Knuckle, Service and Repair,Wheel Bearing Housing/Tie Rod Ends, Modified
- Tighten bolt -B- in fig. A44-0014, Refer to Alignment, Service and Repair, Toe Constant "S" , adjusting-, Refer to Suspension, Service and Repair, Front Suspension, Servicing, See item 5.
- Lower vehicle to initial position again.
- Screw threaded spindle down.
- Does not apply for vehicles with sports suspension!
- Bounce suspension of vehicles with standard suspension several times.

Checking toe constant after adjusting
The alignment unit checks the toe constant again.
If the measured values for the second check are within the check value tolerances then the adjustment is OK.
If the measured values lie outside the check values, then the adjustment must be repeated in the raised position again.
