Internal Oil Pipe, Removing and Installing
Internal oil pipe, removing and installingSpecial tools and equipment
- 3381 Fitting tool
- Faulty O-rings on the internal oil pipe allow ATF to enter the differential. This then becomes overfilled and oil will seep out of the breather holes of the differential.
- If an oil pipe is removed, it should generally be replaced.
- The oil pipe should only be inserted using fitting tool 3381. Otherwise there is a danger of the oil pipe becoming bent, which will cause leaks to occur.
Removing
- Remove valve body.
- Pry internal oil pipe off transmission housing using a screwdriver.
Installing
- Replace O-rings.

- Using a plastic hammer, knock the oil pipe into the transmission housing until the tool makes contact.
- Ensure that the oil pipe is kept straight; knock both ends in evenly.
- Install valve body.
- Fill with ATF.
