3. 30 Nm - 1/4 turn (90°) further

^ Mark direction of rotation before removing
^ Check for wear
^ Do not kink

6. Crankshaft toothed belt sprocket
7. Upper balancing shaft
^ Driven by toothed belt
^ Note position when installing toothed belt, Refer to Toothed Belt Drive For Balancing Shafts, Removing, Installing and Adjusting, Service and Repair
8. Securing plate
9. 10 Nm
^ Insert with locking fluid D 000 600 A2
10. Lower balance shaft
^ Note position when installing toothed belt, Refer to Toothed Belt Drive For Balancing Shafts, Removing, Installing and Adjusting, Service and Repair
11. Seal
^ Replace only in conjunction with front sealing flange (item 12)
12. Sealing flange, front
^ Clean sealing surface before installing
^ Coat sealing surfaces to cylinder block with sealant D 188 800 A1
13. 8 Nm
14. Upper balancing shaft toothed belt sprocket
^ Note position when installing toothed belt, Refer to Toothed Belt Drive For Balancing Shafts, Removing, Installing and Adjusting, Service and Repair
15. 25 Nm
