Applicable Vehicles
A quality improvement has been implemented for driver and front passenger heated cloth and heated leather seat bottom covers. Side bolster heating elements have been eliminated from seat bottom cover heating elements. An additional heating element is used for side bolsters on leather seat bottom covers only.
^ Example of original cloth seat bottom cover with one piece heating element (white tracer on seat bottom cover) for seat bottom including side bolster heaters.

^ Replacement cloth seat bottom covers no longer have side bolster heating elements, nor do they have provisions for installing them. New replacement parts will connect to existing wiring connectors with NO additional side bolster heating element.
^ Example of leather seat bottom cover with one piece heating element for seat bottom including side bolsters.
^ Replacement heated leather seat bottom covers no longer have side bolster heating elements included with seat cover. They will need to order an additional side bolster heating element to connect to existing wiring.
^ When replacing heated seat bottom covers it is important to check the operation of the seat heater switch. If the seat heater switch is malfunctioning, refer to your parts department for the proper replacement part.

^ Under NO circumstances should replacement parts be modified to adapt side bolster heating elements (damage to seat covers may occur).
^ New seat covers and bolster heating elements are designed to connect into the original harness without modifications.
