Basic setting, initiating
Basic setting must be performed after the following repairs:
^ replacing engine control module
^ replacing throttle valve control module
^ replacing transmission control module
^ replacing throttle position (accelerator pedal position) sensor
- Connect VAS 5051 tester and select functions.
The following description refers to VAG 1551 Scan Tool





Indicated on display
- Press keys O and 4 (04 selects function "Initiating basic setting").

Note: Accelerator pedal must remain at idling speed position.

- Confirm entry with Q key.





Indicated on display
- Press keys 0, 0 and 1
- Confirm entry with Q key.





Indicated on display
The system is now in basic setting.
