Pressure Regulator Valves, Checking



Pressure Regulator Valves, Checking

- Respective fuses must be OK.
- Battery voltage must be at least 11.5 volts.
- Selector lever must be in -P- position.
- Ground (GND) connections to transmission must be OK.
- Transmission must be OK mechanically.

Test sequence
- Disconnect 20-pin harness connector to Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic -J743- on transmission.

Observe safety precautions.
- Check harness connector for contact corrosion and ingress of water.

If harness connector is not OK:
- Repair malfunction.
- Erase DTC memory of Transmission Control Module (TCM).
- Generate readiness code.

If harness connector is OK:
- Replace Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic -J743-.

NOTE: Pressure Control Valve 1 for Auto. Transmission -N215- through Pressure Control Valve 4 for Auto. Transmission -N218-, Pressure regulating valve 5 for automatic transmission -N233- and Pressure Regulating Valve 6 (for automatic transmission) -N371- are components of Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic -J743- and cannot be replaced separately.
