Engine Installation Notes


Notes on installing
Installation is performed in reverse order. Note the following:

CAUTION: When performing repair work, especially due to the confined conditions in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following:
^ Route all types of hoses/lines (e.g. for fuel, hydraulics, EVAP system, coolant, refrigerant, brake fluid and vacuum) as well as electrical wiring so that the original positions are restored.
^ Ensure sufficient clearance to all moving or hot components.





^ Install intermediate plate onto sealing flange and slide onto dowel sleeves (arrows).
^ Lightly grease input shaft splines with G 000 100 grease.
^ When installing, make sure that clearance exists between surrounding components.

^ Align engine and transmission mountings.
Tightening torques.
^ Install axle shafts:
^ Install front exhaust pipe.
^ Install assembly.
^ Install selector lever cable.
^ Installing power steering pump:
^ Check electrical connections and routing:

Vehicles with air conditioning
^ Install Generator.
^ Install air conditioning compressor:

Continued for all vehicles
^ Install poly V-belt.
^ Fill with coolant.
^ Install center, left and right sound insulation trays:
^ Perform a road test and check Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory.
