Compressor HVAC: Service and Repair



Compressor Bracket, Removing and Installing






Special tools, testers, measuring instruments and auxiliary items required
- Torque wrench (5 - 50 Nm)


NOTE: The compressor bracket and related components can be removed and installed without having to open the refrigerant circuit.


1 - Bracket
- Mounting for:
- Generator
- Compressor
- Power steering pump
- Diesel Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) Pump
- Removing:
- Remove ribbed belt Service and Repair
- Remove Generator (GEN) Service and Repair
- Remove power steering pump Service and Repair
- Remove Diesel Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) pump
- Remove bolt -7-.
- Remove compressor from bracket, swing away and secure in engine compartment with wire.
- Remove bolts -4- (Qty. 4.)
- Remove compressor bracket from engine.
2 - Diesel Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) injection pump
- Removing
3 - Power steering pump
- Removing
4 - Hex head combination bolt
- M10X65
- 45 Nm (33 ft. lb)
5 - Hex head combination bolt
- M10X45
- 45 Nm (33 ft. lb)
6 - Compressor
- Sanden SD7-V16
- With A/C clutch -N25-
- A/C clutch - N25-, servicing
7 - Hex head combination bolt
- Qty. 2
- M10X112
- 45 Nm (33 ft. lb)
8 - Idler pulley
- Assembly. Refer Fig. 1
9 - Generator (GEN)
- Removing:
10 - Ribbed belt
- Removing:
- Routing. Refer Fig. 2

NOTE: When installing the belt ensure it is correctly seated in the pulley.
