Convertible Top, Hard to Open After Front Latch Has Been Released
Too much effort is required to open convertible top after release of front latch.

Technical Background
Excessive force is required to open convertible top.

Production Solution
No production change required.

Service
Perform the following adjustments:
- Open top approx.halfway (to access adjustment screw).





- Locate LOWER (see CAUTION below) adjustment screw (black arrow) at rear of top.

Tip: DO NOT adjust upper adjustment screw (white arrow) during this procedure.

- Loosen securing nut for screw.
- Turn (loosen) adjustment screw counterclockwise approx.4 threads and tighten securing nut.
- Repeat adjustment on opposite side.
- Close top and reopen.

If top still appears too hard to open:
- Repeat procedure, this time loosen screws one more thread.
