Section A - Check the Tandem Pump Manufacturer Name





- Open hood
- Using a flashlight and a mirror, check the type of tandem pump located at the rear of the cylinder head
- If the tandem pump has a cast aluminum cover -B- with part number 038 145 209 C, the manufacturer is Bosch. No further work is required, close hood





- If the tandem pump has a black steel cover -A- with a part number 038 145 209 F, the manufacturer is LUK
- Check the tandem pump housing for a green mark at either location -G-
- If there is a green mark, no further work is required, close hood
- If there is no green mark, proceed to Section B for Golf and Jetta vehicles, Section D for Passat vehicles or Section F for New Beetle vehicles
