Center Console, Removing And Installing --> 09.00

Removing
- Switch ignition off.







- Open ashtray - 1 - and pull out ashtray insert - 2 - - arrow -.
- Flip up center armrest.







- Remove rubber base from storage compartment - 1 -.
- Unscrew lock nut - 2 -.







- Fold out beverage holder - 1 -.
- Unscrew lock nuts - 2 -.

NOTE: For vehicles without center armrest, only one lock nut is installed under ashtray.

- Pull up parking brake lever.







- Pull off trim - 1 - from parking brake lever - arrow -.







- Pry off caps - 1 -.
- Remove hex bolts - 2 -.







- Remove center console extension - 1 -from parking brake lever.
- Unclip diagnostic connector - 2 -.
- Disconnect harness connector - 3 - from Remote Fuel Tank Flap Switch (E 204).







Only vehicles with manual transmission
- Unclip cover - 2 -.
- Unscrew shift knob - 1 - together with cover - 2 - and remove upward.







Continuation for all vehicles
- Remove center console - 1 - from instrument panel and remove upward from shift lever.
- Disconnect harness connector from cigarette lighter - 2 -.

Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
