Oil pressure lines, removing and installing

Special tools and equipment





^ VAG 1306 Drip tray or equivalent





^ VAG 1331 Torque wrench or equivalent

Additional information
^ Refer to Steering and Suspension





Note:
^ The subframe must be lowered to remove and install the oil pressure lines (=Removing and installing transmission on vehicles with 8 cylinder injection engine.
^ Use drip tray VAG 1306 or equivalent

1. Hex bolt, 5 Nm
^ Before tightening bolt, push line in onto stop by hand
2. Oil pressure line
^ From top of cooler to oil pump
^ Insert into cooler onto limit stop by hand
3. O-ring
^ Always replace
^ Coat with transmission oil when installing
4. Hex socket head bolt, 45 Nm
5. Oil pressure line
^ From bottom of cooler to end of cover
^ Insert into cooler onto limit stop by hand
6. Oil seal
^ Always replace
7. Banjo bolt, 25 Nm
8. Torx screw, 25 Nm
9. Clamp
10. Hex bolt, 10 Nm
11. Union nut, 30 Nm
^ For oil pressure line from bottom of cooler to end cover
^ For oil pressure line from top of cooler to oil pump

A - Oil pressure line from top of cooler to oil pump
- Secure pressure line -1- (male chamfer) to pressure hose union -2 (female chamfer).
B - Oil pressure line from bottom of cooler to end cover
- Secure pressure line -3- (female chamber) to pressure hose union -4 (male chamfer).
