Subframe Installation Without Alignment


Subframe installation without alignment





If holes -1- and -2- did align before loosening subframe, the wheel alignment need not be checked.
- Install subframe with new bolts. Observe tightening sequence.





- Tighten new nuts -1- for both engine mountings.
- Install bolts -2- for transmission mounting/subframe.
- Clip in engine mounting vacuum line on subframe and connect lines to engine mounting.
- Install wiring harness retainer on right engine mount.





- Fit torque rod limit stop -1- and tighten bolts (arrows) to prescribed torque.
- Install coupling rod retaining clamp of Left front level control system sensor -G78- to left front control arm.
- Connect driveshaft.





- Install protective plate (arrows).





- Install axle shafts -1- to flanged shafts.
- Install protective plates for left and right-hand axle shafts (arrows). Third bolt cannot be seen in illustration.
- Install front exhaust pipes:
- Installing lock carrier with attachments:
- Attach oil filler pipe to engine:





- Clip connectors (arrows) into retainer.
- Fit connector for coolant expansion tank.
- Install coolant expansion tank.
- Install intake air guide, air cleaner and intake air hose.
- Reconnect Ground strap to battery.
- Enter radio code.
- Initialize electric windows, set clock.
- Check transmission gear oil.





- Install sound insulation tray (arrows).
- Adjust selector mechanism.
- Install front wheels.
